Haven

Using customer data and insight 💡, our Marketing team oversees the creation of all the marketing plans and propositions. From running the social media channels to reaching out to customers through programmatic adverts, our Marketing team are in the business of telling stories and inspiring our customers to book a break with us. They’re working across the website, app 📲 and all of our channels to share the Haven experience and encourage them to book a break. 

I only joined Haven in October 2022, and I really enjoy working here. Everyone is really friendly and helpful and there's always a good atmosphere in the Hemel office 💙. It's great learning about all of the parks, seeing how they're developing and being able to visit them is a big bonus!

What is it like to work as part of your team?

My team is made up of a great bunch of talented people, who work hard and know how to have fun. There's never a dull moment in our corner of the office – and the sweets jar is always full 🍬!

What does a typical day look like in your role?

Mostly, I manage the work that comes in and out of the art working team. I approve and book job briefs that come in, assign them to a team member, and then proof and send back artwork to job owners. I have to ensure that everything we produce, be it a full redesign of event artwork or social media assets or a simple toilet sign, is done to a high standard whilst fulfilling its purpose and looking great too.

What training and development have you received? 

I'm currently enrolled in the New to Leading Teams Programme, which is really insightful and enjoyable.

Who is your favourite member of the Seaside squad?

Tough one, but I think it would have to be Jaz. I think she'd be cool-headed in a crisis and is always full of great ideas. 💡

I love working at Haven because of the opportunities I’ve had to develop my career and skills💻. I started my role straight out of university in the Owner’s Marketing team and gained a huge breadth of knowledge within marketing,  before moving into the Social team. I have loved being able to attain experience working in different areas of marketing and finding what I enjoy, whilst being surrounded and mentored by great team members. 

What is it like to work as part of your team? 

Working in the Social Media Team is great fun as every week we’re doing something different! We’re often out visiting parks, on content shoots, filming TikTok videos, creating memes, trying out new activities, or even creating content in the water parks! It’s amazing to travel to different parks alongside a supportive, hard-working, and knowledgeable team. 

What does a typical day look like in your role? 

My main tasks include developing and executing the day-to-day content plan for Haven’s organic social channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and most recently Threads). This includes everything from coming up with the content ideas💡, working with different teams to create the content, and writing copy, all the way to posting. Another big aspect to the role is working with influencers. This year I’ve worked on 6 campaigns so far and arranged over 30+ influencer holidays across our parks! 

And just for fun who is your favourite member of the Seaside squad?

My favourite Seaside Squad member is George because I think he is very fun and cheeky, and I also love his accent! 😊
