Donna O'Toole, CLM Technical Manager
“I have worked with Haven for 11 years. I work with various organisations external to work and have seen the difference these charities make to the people they help. I hope that I can apply some of the skills and knowledge I have gained to help make positive changes within Haven as well.
I have struggled with being Autistic in the workplace, and for many years and have had to mask to get through the day. This is exhausting and can affect how I am, but having a work environment where little adjustments make all the difference helps so I would like to help others find their voice.

Lisa Wood, Head of Facilities, Haggerston Castle
I have worked at Haven for nearly 14 years. Here at Haggerston Castle we have a very diverse team in Facilities, where over 50% of our team members are from the black community. It has been very important to us to ensure we create a more inclusive environment for our black team members. Haggerston Castle was chosen to be a flagship park for Black History month, and we hosted our own panel day where I was one of the project leaders, this was an honour and a privilege and extremely humbling to learn more about their stories, but also to be a part of something so important to over half of my Facilities team. Prior to joining Haggerston, in 2016 I took up the role of Facilities Manager at Reighton Sands, which at that time it was and had previously been a very male dominated job role, so I am really excited to represent Facilities on the forum and supporting the wider team as we continue to move forward on our DE&I journey.

I have been with Haven for almost 4 years. I have been lucky enough to work in diverse teams across the UK, Ireland and Europe throughout my career. I truly believe this leads to achieving a great culture, engagement, idea generation and improved shareholder results. When people feel a sense of belonging, there are no boundaries to achieving a shared vision and goals.

I've been at Haven for the last 3 years. I was motivated to apply as I am very passionate about fostering an inclusive workplace, I believe in the value of diverse perspectives, and want to contribute actively to creating a supportive and equitable environment for all employees. I’m a 29-year-old mixed-race (White/Asian) woman who grew up embracing the richness of English, Greek, and Indian cultures. Raised in a low-income, single-parent household, my upbringing taught me the value of hard work and resilience.
