The strength of the PureGym culture is that it's been created by our people.

Our teams helped to define the values and behaviours which form the foundations of our culture and how we work every day to deliver the best possible experience for our members. We are the gym where Everybody is Welcome. We champion diversity and are committed to providing a workplace where everyone feels free to be.

OUR VALUES

At PureGym we:

  • MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Excite and inspire others. 'Own it' and be the best we can be.

  • STAND SHOULDER TO SHOULDER

Collaborate and share with each other. Include everyone and embrace uniqueness

  • FOCUS ON THE DETAIL

Care about the little things. Have determination and resilience to get the job done.

  • PLAY TO WIN

Improve and Innovate - never get complacent. Challenge ourselves and each other. Celebrate our success.

'FREE TO BE' YOU AT PUREGYM

Diversity and inclusion is important to us and we’ve created a central philosophy of ‘Free to Be’, where our people feel free to bring their whole, authentic selves to work, and share their different ideas and experiences, drawing on these to become stronger and having a greater impact on the health and happiness of our nation. All of us at PureGym are passionate about our Free to Be ethos and we have dedicated forums to ensure that we are consistently listening, evolving and driving positive change.

LEARNING MOMENTS

Continually learning and developing yourself both personally and professionally is something we really value in our people, and there are loads of opportunities to do this at PureGym.

Learning is more than completing an e-learning module - it’s every conversation you have with other PureGymmers and our members. It’s listening to a podcast or taking part in a webinar. It’s learning from your mistakes. It’s staying open to all of the opportunities around you and making small improvements every day.

Our Learning team work hard to bring you all the knowledge you need to do your job well, including a suite of online learning modules, our Development Pathways for our Gym Ops team, access to professional qualifications for our PureGymmers in the Centre and toolkits and information on Connect. But it shouldn’t stop there. There are loads more ways you can support your own development too.

We’d encourage you to:

  • Make time regularly to focus on your personal development

  • Take advantage of performance conversations and 1-1s with your line manager

  • Ask for feedback on work you’ve done from people you work with regularly

  • Spend time with PureGymmers in other parts of the business to learn what they do
