about our cpu
our mighty central production unit is based in east acton, london. this is where wagamama's most iconic sauces like firecracker and katsu curry sauce are created. this is also where our beloved gyozas are made. fun fact, our cpu produces 1 million gyozas and 65 tons of sauce a week!
journey of a gyoza
gyoza ingredients are delivered to our central production unit daily
our expert gyoza team will prepare the filling following a top secret wagamama recipe
the dough is rolled, filled with the mix and cut to shape before being pressed into perfect parcels
now it's time for our gyozas to cool off in the blast chiller at a temperature of -12
once chilled, we give them a quick quality check then send them back in to chill right down to -18 degrees
once adequately chilled, our perfect parcels are packaged up and sent to wagamamas worldwide
lastly, our gyozas make it to their final resting place. the bench. steamed, seared, dipped in sauce and waiting to be enjoyed

production operative
our production operatives sit at the heart of our central production helping look after our sauces and gyozas, you don’t need previous experience working in a restaurant or kitchen. just a great attitude, a passion for food + a willingness to learn, we’ll teach you the rest!
- you'll assist with mixing, weighing, preparing, bagging, boxing and packing of sauces or gyoza, following our recipes + specifications
- you'll be part of either our sauce section or gyoza section with the opportunity of being cross trained on both
- you'll be working in a team where you’ll have each other's backs
- internal fast track development programmes to progress into a team leader, supervisor + beyond as well as apprenticeship opportunities
