Europe
For us, Europe is split into two operational areas: our France team care for the largest number of commemorations in any region, while our Central and Southern Europe team cover a large number of countries across the continent, from Belgium and the Netherlands through to Italy, Greece and beyond.
By joining our European teams, you’ll become one of the caretakers to some of our largest and best-known sites – including the iconic Menin Gate and Thiepval memorials.

France
France is also home to our award-winning Beaurains Visitor Centre, a key piece in our efforts to educate and inform visitors about the Commonwealth soldiers who fought and died there during the two world wars.
It is situated next door to our office in France, from where our team manages the ongoing care of our French sites and continue to tell the stories of the Commonwealth war dead who are buried in our cemeteries and commemorated on our memorials.
You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside our talented operations teams – including master craftsmen, stonemasons and horticulture experts who care for nearly 3000 sites across the region.
They work tirelessly to ensure that the work of the Commission in France continues the high standards that have been our calling card for the last 100 years.
Central and Southern Europe
Through collective teamwork, shared expertise and united passion, our teams bridge the gap between different languages and cultures to ensure that each of our cemeteries and memorials is cared for.
You’ll be a great fit for our Central and Southern Europe area team if you value variety in your work. You’ll be part of a team that spans a continent, facing different challenges every day, and working alongside our global team to overcome them.
Our dream candidate
We’re looking for people that share our passion. We’re here to help you develop your skills and give you opportunities to grow – even an interest in history isn’t a must have – all we ask is that you buy in to our mission.
You’ll be joining an organisation that’s existed for more than 100 years, who are committed to commemorating the fallen of the two world wars. You’ll be part of our story and help write the next chapter.
